From Hokkaido to the world! is the goal of this idol group who debuted in February of 2018. It’s the sister group to Hokkaido-based idols, Fruity.
They’ve appeared at a variety of live shows, events and festivals.
This energetic group’s motto is that “Everybody who watches our performance will become HAPPY♪”
In February 2018 they celebrated their 2nd anniversary live, with 155 fans attending!

2o Love to Sweet Bullet
Shortened to “2Love”.
Upon their debut they were told that all they could do was be cute, but their popularity surged, reaching #1 on the Oricon charts in 2017.
Despite being a “cute to look at” idol group, their music has a surprising contrast to their looks, with variety of trance and dark Eurobeat tracks.
In 2017 they challenged two of summer’s biggest Gravure competitions in Young Jump (“Sakidoru Ace”) and Playboy (Summers#1☆Audition), taking the crown in both.
9nine
9nine is a performance unit consisting of Uki Satake, Murota Hirona, Yoshii Kanae, and Sayaka Nishiwaki. They held a solo concert at Nippon Budokan in 2014. In July 2016, they completed their last tour as 5-members and continued their activities as a 4-member group.
They appeared regularly on TX’s “Asakusa Baby9” from April 2017. From July, the members will be appearing in anime “The Reflection”, as well as performing the ED theme.

AKB48 Team 8
From AKB48 who has been active as "idols whom you can go to meet", a new team based on the concept of "idols who can go to meet you" was born. It is AKB48 Team 8.
Members are 47 people elected one by one from each prefecture during “AKB48 Team 8 nationwide audition” held in 47 prefectures all over Japan. With activities closely tied to the community, they are delivering lots of energy to each and every one of their fans.

Akishibu project
An idol group fusing Akihabara and Shibuya culture together. Alongside their one-man lives at Akasaka BLITZ and Zepp Tokyo, they’ve also appeared at festivals all over Asia, making a huge impact in Japan and overseas. They will be making their major debut in Summer 2018!
Akishibu project is currently holding new member auditions, so you should keep an eye on this evolving group!

A high school girls unit formed of Ami and Miyu. The two have created their own original world view, combining post rock, electronica, and nordic sound.
The group was formed in 2012, with Miyu joining in May 2015 to create the current lineup. Their 3D and 9 sided cover jackets became a hot topic, with even the artwork representing their ideals. amiinA will be holding their first one-man live on the 27th of May.
Ange☆Reve
This idol group consists of successful applicants of "The 3rd DOLL AUDITION", who were originally underground idols who were aiming for a major debut. They made their stage debut at Nippon Seinenkan Tokyo in April 2014.
"Ange = Angel" + "Reve = Dream".
"Angel's Dream" is the name bestowed upon this ultra-fresh, orthodox, and pure idol group!
AOP
We want to talk about anime! We want to show how exciting anime is! We want to "selfishly" cheer on anime! With that, AOP’s Anime-Cheer Project (Anime Ouen Project) began.
AOP is project to show “What can be done when a group of anime loving girls come together”.
They have even performed the theme songs for popular anime, including “Osomatsu-san” and “Cutie Honey Universe”!
APPARE！HARAJUKU
They debuted at Idol Yokocho Summer Festival on July 2nd, 2016!
“APPARE! HARAJUKU” is a new idol group unlike one anybody has seen before. This 6-member unit incorporates KAWAII from all over the world, creating and sharing their own KAWAII culture, just like Harajuku! This is an idol group full of 17 year olds.

Their 7th single “Hankō Seimei” was used as the ending theme for the anime Gintama.
Their long-awaited 2nd album, “Dai Gyakushū”, was released on the 28th of March!

This 5-member idol unit made their major debut as “Babyraids” in August 2012.
Their high quality rock music has attracted praise from rock fans alongside idol fans.
In 2015 the group changed their name to “Babyraids JAPAN”.
They aim to create “EMOTIONAL IDOROCK” , a genre of rock just for idols.
BAND JA NAIMON!
Formed in 2011 by Shinsei Kamatte-chan member Misako Suzuki, making their major debut as a 2-member “Twin Drum Idol” unit.
Currently consisting of 6 members, the group made their 2nd major debut with their 1st major album reaching 4th on the Weekly Oricon Charts.
BAND JA NAIMON! held two one-man concerts this Spring, performing at Nakano Sun Plaza and NHK Osaka Hall. The 6 members will keep on marching forward!

Formed Fukuoka in June 2016, BATTEN SHOW JO TAI are active under Stardust Promotion with their catchphrase, “ The Most Outstanding Group in 100 Years!”
They made their major debut in 2016 with their single “Osshoi!”, a ska-core song written in the Hakata dialect. Their latest single, “Muteki no Venus”, reached #6 in the Oricon Weekly Charts. 5 of their major releases have appeared in the Top 10. BATTEN SHOW JO TAI are now tourism ambassadors for Munakata, Fukuoka prefecture.

“A clean hit on your heart!” is the catchphrase of this baseball themed idol unit. They joined “Dear Stage”, the agency behind Dempagumi.inc and Mousou Calibration, in January 2018.
Their infectious positivity comes across in their performances and media appearances!
Bed In
An “underground sexy idol unit” formed by Mashikoji Kaori and Chuoji Mai. This self produced unit is based on the 80’s and 90’s bubble era in Japan.
In 2012 each member, who was currently active in her own band, decided to pierce the idol scene with their unique, retro themed modern day unit.
Their long history of rock-band performances and “Old man gyaru” nicknames gained attention on Twitter and now they’re touring Japan!
Their first major debut album, “RICH”, was released on July 27th, 2016. Continuing, their first major single, “Otoko wa Aitsu Dake Janai”, was released on February 15th, 2017. Their second album, “TOKYO”, was released on December 6th, 2017. Get drunk on their “bodycon rock”, with Kaori’s strong deciding-face voice and Mai’s feeling-based guitar playing.
BILLIE IDLE
A girls unit formed of First Summer Uika, Hirano Nozomi, Momose Momo, Akira, and Pour Lui. Their “neo 80’s” visual and sound is produced by creative director NIGO. Their worldview is represented on the stage.

BiS. Short for Brand-new idol Society.
Started on June 2nd, 2018, the ten members were split into two teams, “BiS1st” and “BiS2nd”.
“BiS1st” is comprised four members: GO ZEELA, Pan Luna Leafy, NEL NEHRU, and TORiAEZU Hana.

Sister group of AKB48 established in Bangkok in 2017. Their 2nd single “Koi Suru Fortune Cookie” has over 41 million views on YouTube. Moreover, their 2nd term auditions closed in early February and received more than 10,000 applicants, showing the popularity of Japan/Thailand idol groups.

Io’s low growling and Kagura’s high screaming combined with Yae and Ayame’s clean voices create an unusual group who have received high praise not only within the idol scene but from fans of metal, in Japan and overseas.

This is a professional dance-vocal group known for their synchronized dancing and catchy melodies.
They debuted with their 1st single on May 25th, 2016. Before debut, they gained attention after appearing at Girls Award and other events. Their 2nd single was released on October 12th.They appear in over 150 events a year, including large events and school festivals nationwide, and are actively expanding their activities.

A group formed of members who were full of regret after losing. The super cute members are perfectly suited with their idol characters. This is “Choucream Rockets”!

The group is known as "Kurapo", while their beloved fans are known as "Popper".
Aiming to become national idols, this group is growing every day.
CYBERJAPAN DANCERS
CYBERJAPAN DANCERS have attended international festivals and clubs across Asia, including Japan. Their dances take advantage of their beautiful bodies, firing up the audience in the blink of an eye.
Having originally performing in clubs, they have expanded their activities, making their debut through UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN and appearing on ULTRA JAPAN, TV, CF, and various other media.

“The dream will continue once more” is the concept of this mature idol group.
The members want to show people that “You’re never too old to start something” through their activities.

Their girly, electro pop sound caught the eye of Tower Records’ idol label, “Hako Records”.
Their upcoming single, “COLOR*COLOR”, will be produced by former NIRGILIS vocalist Iwata Acchu, who will be joined by former POMERANIANS members zakbee and Nagomu Tamaki. COLOR*COLOR will be released on July 17th.
EMPiRE
A WACK and avex joint production, affiliated with BiSH.
Their album “THE EMiPRE STRiKES START!!”,which was released on 4/11, reached #1 on the iTunes album charts and #7 on the Oricon album charts.
Their first one-man concert on the 1st of May sold out, encouraging the 6 members to embark on their first independent tour, the “NEXT EDiTION TOUR”.
EMPiRE will be releasing a mini album on August 5th.

=Love is a voice actress idol group presented by YOYOGI ANIMATION ACADEMY and produced by Rino Sashihara.
"An Idol has to be loved by fans, and she should also love being an Idol. Idol means love." With this, the group name was decided.
This is a elite 12-member group, who have each passed an extremely strict audition.

This festival themed group aims to fill Japan with positive energy!
They are known for their hot performances and have even started activities overseas. Their one-man live at Shinkiba Studio Coast was a huge success, with the group releasing their 7th major singe this May!
Fleurette
Formed in May 2014, this orthodox idol group is based in the Shiga prefecture. They regularly perform each month in Osaka and Nagoya. Having performed at TIF 2017, their unique choreography and formation dancing has since improved dramatically. Don’t miss their performance!
FRUITY
“From Hokkaido to the world!” is the motto of this Hokkaido-born idol group.
The group was formed in 2011, during a time where Hokkaido-based idols were scarce.
They raced into their 8th year in 2016. With new members and graduations, the group has appeared at a variety of events and in the media.
They hold a monthly outdoor expedition and encourage fans to travel to Hokkaido. Their aim is to become Hokkaido sightseeing ambassadors!

FUDANJUKU
This is a unique 6-people “unit in male attire” in the entertainment industry.
Their new single got the 2nd place on the Oricon Weekly Chart.
They are supported mainly by girls of teens and twenties. They once published "Fudanjuku Story" in "Margaret" (Japanese cartoon magazine), and did various collaborations regardless of genre to showcase 2.5-dimensional world.
Fuwa Fuwa
Active at the “Harajuku Ekimae Stage”. They debuted on April 13th, 2016, with “Fuwa Fuwa Sugar Love”. Their 6th single, “Sakuranamiki” was released on February 16th of this year. They’re popular for their overwhelming visuals and performances. This is their first time performing at TIF.

A 3-member unit consisting of Tacoyaki Rainbow’s Haruna Mai, Hachimitsu Rocket’s Kimino Maika, and HKT48’s Sakamoto Erena.
Formed for a Fuji Television NEXT show following 4-member units (Gachinko 3), the members were selected for their singing voices and their production continued into the second season!
☆Don’t worry singing abilities☆Don’t play instruments☆Cute dances☆ is the label-chosen concept of this group.
All of their lyrics are handwritten. Their choreography is produced by Makino Ana, Ishikawa Yumi, and Carnival Miura.
They performed their new choreography for the first time at “GIRLS’FACTORY NEXT DAY3” at ZeppTokyo on July 14th.
The three members have only just begun. You can only be able to see this kind of performance here.
Gallop+
Girls unit Gallop+ will shock you with their rocking pop music.
In March 2018, the group evolved and began their 2nd chapter!
As the champion of the fierce Chubu block, they don’t plan on letting their fellow local idols down.

With a concept of “Everybody's playground”, this 9 member group consists of Kamiya Saki, Yamamachi Miki, Yumeno Yua, Kyan GP Maika, Coco Partin Coco, Terashima Yuuka, Yui ga Dokuson, Tsuki no Usagi, and Haruna Ba Chiin. Their nationwide “REBUILD TOUR” will be stopping at 9 locations before finishing at ZEPP TOKYO on August 20th.
GOKIGEN TEIKOKU -The Movie-
“Unreasonable and Fighting” is the concept of this self-produced idol group! Lead and produced by Shirahata Ichiho, the members themselves are charge of music, lyrics, choreo, live bookings… This completely self-produced unit carries out their own business and management!
Good Tears
Having lost the battle on the TV show “Last Idol”, 5 girls gathered their tears and formed the new unit “Good Tears”.
The girls will run once again, believing in the light shining in their tears.

This 3-member unit was formed through Universal Music’s “Akiba Idol Hunting” audition in November 2013.
Hajirai Rescue Japan resumed activities in 2015 as an idol group that transcends nationality and sex,
In December 2016 the group added 2 new members, Ririka and Saeki Kaori, continuing as 6-members.
They can be found in live houses and events in the Tokyo area!
HAKOIRIMUSUME
An 8-member unit consisting of 13~18 year old girls, produced by Box Corporation. They often cover songs by 80’s and 90’s idols, healing and exciting fans with their original and nostalgic songs. Their catchphrase is “the original girls’ cuteness!” Their first cover album, “Notes Of Youth”, was released in February. Their first one-man live will be held on July 29th.
Happy Kuru Kuru
This 2-member unit formed of Nono and Kinoko made their debut in May 2016. Trackmaker Yunomi produces their EDM and Future Bass tracks, combining dance music and bass music with Kawaii pop music to create a “Next Generation Kawaii Pop Sound”.
Their unique worldview has gained them a huge amount of support from outside the idol market, including girls, teens, and have even become popular overseas.
HARADA SUZUKA
Born in 2002. Age 15.
Performed on many successful stages as a member of Idol Renaissance. She would upload videos to SNS whilst in the group and began songwriting.
You can feel the devotion in her lively singing voice, telling trivial stories of daily life.
Aiming to become an idol and singer-songwriter, Harada Suzuka will be performing for the first time at Tokyo Idol Festival 2018.

Active at the “Harajuku Ekimae Stage”. Made their debut with “Rockstar” on April 13th, 2016. They have released 2 singles so far. An authentic dance & vocal group who will fascinate you with their exciting and dynamic choreography. This is their first time performing at TIF.
Harajukuekimae Parties Next
Active at the “Harajuku Ekimae Stage”, this trainee team started activities in April 2017. With multiple successful performances under their belt, this 6-member idol unit is expanding its activities. The group concept is to express pop music with their fresh singing and dancing. They often perform speed covers of hit songs of groups from the same label. They express their youth and orderliness through their simple, pop stages.
HARAJUKUDREAMMATE
Aiming to be loved by girls of their age, this “Current” group will continue to keep cutting edge!
HARAJUKU DREAM MATE is a “girls unit from Harajuku, the sacred fashion ground”.
The “Amazing! Kids Audition” in 2016 had over 5000 applicants, and this unit is formed from 7 winners with an average age of 13.4.
Their 1st single, “First Step”, was released on June 6th, 2018.
They song “SUGAR HIGH” is the theme song for super popular Harajuku sweet shop, CANDY・A・GO・GO.

“Tenacity” is the concept of this idol group, that consists solely of strong spirited members who can face anything.
They successfully held their 2nd one-man live at Shinjuku BLAZE in March 2018, while their 1st major single release, “Aishitiidesuka?” was released on the 30th of May!
HKT48
Produced by Akimoto Yasushi, this group is the Fukuoka-based 4th sister group to AKB48, the “idols you can meet”.
From their debut single, “Suki! Suki! Skip!” to their latest release, “Fast-forward Calendar:, they have continuously reached #1, breaking the record for female artists.
Now that their nationwide tour has ended, the group can be found in the HKT48 Theatre Hall in their hometown of Fukuoka,

After the strike of 4pm, their hair ties will be replaced by tiaras, and their uniforms with princess gowns. A group with the concept of "transforming into princess after school". Their first single of 2017 was released on February 15.

Inkeyoops debuted in Shanghai on April 30th, 2017. They later made their Japan debut on May 3rd.
The group is formed of 3 members, Rinco Star, Damon, and Maron.

Combine “IDOL” and “REVOLVE” to create IVOLVE!

Their first member audition was announced in 2017 at the “Keyakizaka46 1 Year Debut Anniversary Live” which was held at Yoyogi Daiichi Gymnasium. The following August, 9 members were added to complete their second generation.
After Nagahama Neru was transferred to Kanji Keyakizaka46, the group continued activities with 20 members.
Although Hiragana Keyakizaka46 may seem like an under-member group, they are actually a full junior group, having held a successful nationwide tour which finished with a 3-day performance at Nippon Budokan in 2018.

Produced by Akimoto Yasushi, this is the 5th sister group to AKB48. Based in Niigata prefecture, this groups focuses their activities in their local region. The members are rapidly gaining notice, with many members ranking in the most recent Senbatsu, including Ogino Yuka. With the joining of the long awaited 2nd generation students, the group is now formed of a total of 44 members.
NICHOME NO SAKIGAKE COMINGOUT
“Idols can be gay too!” is the concept of this 4-member dance unit, consisting of Mikitty_Honmono, Peinyamnyam, Kimarumokkori, and Shiratorihakucho. The group name includes “Coming Out”, reiterating their “gay idol” concept.

Following the Akihabara-Tokyo group, AKB48, and the Saka-Nagoya based SKE48, the 48 groups moved to Osaka.
The group name is based on the Namba (NaMBa) area.
With production and songwriting by Akimoto Yasushi, the group started activities on October 9th, 2010.
The concept is “idols you can meet”. They perform, singing and dancing, for almost 2 hours each day at their theatre in Namba, Osaka. From Chiba Prefecture, Yufu Tersashima graduated with a Japanese Literature Course Major, having studied at Waseda University. She has also received her Junior and Senior high school teaching certificate.

tacoyaki rainbow (aka TacoNiji) is the Kansai based ultimate weapon of Stardust Promotion. This year they embarked on a nationwide tour, appearing on the BEACH STAGE of SUMMER SONIC 2017 alongside the NANIWANDOR TAKONIJIBAND.

Yui ga Dokuson
（GANG PARADE）
Yui Ga Dokuson is the trendy glasses-wearing member of GANG PARADE, a 9-member group with the concept of ”Everybody's playground!”.
She originally entered the 3-night 4-day training camp audition for BiS, another group under the same label, around the time of it’s reformation. However, she failed as the final candidate.
She was then scheduled to join SiS, an official sister group to BiS which was announced on August 25th. The group was dissolved the next day. She then joined GANG PARADE.
She often wears flashy outdoor clothing, surprising the audience each time. She loves ramen, and writes a weekly ramen collum.
Next Girls 2018 STAGE

Started idol activities as “principal!” in Niigata in 2014. In March 2017, the members changed and the name was renewed from principal! to cana÷biss.
Their 1st Album, “cana÷biss”, was released nationwide in March, 2018.
They are active both in and out of Niigata.
Kimiiro Project
Kimiiro Project’s catchphrase “Leave your feelings to us!”, and you decide their theme!
They debuted under their first theme, as “Orthodox Idols”.
Their second theme, “Share”, was chosen through social media. They share a variety of things, including performances and free original songs..
Their current theme is “Summer”, wearing swimsuits and performing songs suitable for the hot summer!
