“TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL”,the world’s largest idol festival, started in 2010.
2017 saw three days full of events in Odaiba, Tokyo,
with 223 idol groups consisting of 1480 people,
live events and talk shows held across 9 stages,
and 80,000 guests for the largest turnout ever.
We will continue to share Japanese idol pop culture with the world,
evolving it into a form of entertainment shared by the entire world.
To accomplish this, in April we will be holding...
“TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL in BANGKOK COMIC CON” in Bangkok, Thailand!
This will be the first time TIF will be held overseas.

EVENT HOST
BNK48
Sister group of AKB48 established in Bangkok in 2017. Their 2nd single “Koi Suru Fortune Cookie” has over 41 million views on YouTube. Moreover, their 2nd term auditions closed in early February and received more than 10,000 applicants, showing the popularity of Japan/Thailand idol groups.
The attending members will be announced at a later date.

Akishibu project
An idol group actively fusing together the concepts of “Akihabara” and “Shibuya”. Launching in 2014, they’ve organized solo shows at ZEPP TOKYO, performed abroad, and in 2017 brought on four new members to focus on the future development of Akishibu project!
LovelyDoll
With the catchphrase “your doll at any time”, LovelyDoll is an orthodox idol unit that is so cute you’ll want to keep them by your side. They consistently put on impressive shows overflowing with excitement! Their songs “Yoakemae, Nijigasasu” and “Hikari no Symphony” reached 7th and 8th in the Oricon weekly rankings, simultaneously in the top 10!
Manekikecak
Manekikecak was formed with the goal of appearing on the famous Japanese tv program “NHK Red and White Year-end Song Festival”. They’ve decided to hold a solo show at the Nippon Budokan in September 2018, just three years after forming, which is already sold out across the board. They’re also highly regarded for their singing ability and songs, having won at events such as the Idol Gakkyoku Taisho 2016. Their five members include Miyuu Nakagawa, Chiai Fujikawa, Rin Miyauchi, Reona Matsushita, and Mio Fukase.
milcs honmono
Milcs Honmono are currently active in Hokkaido and Thailand. They have performed at some of Japan’s biggest festivals, including TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL and RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL IN EZO. With Hokkaido’s ever-increasing popularity in south Asia, the group began activities in Thailand, playing the main stage at JAPAN EXPO THAILAND 2018. Milcs Honmono is taking on the world directly from Hokkaido.
NECOPLA
NECOPLA is an evolutionary dark-matter unit which will stir the new world! Originally “NECO PLASTIC”, they were reformed with a new member in November 2017. With their energetic music and intense performances, their popularity is rapidly rising! Their first one-man live will be held in May 2018
NGT48
NGT48 is the sister group to AKB48 which was formed in Niigata prefecture in 2015. With their aim of “working and contributing to the local community” they have worked closely with the local government and businesses. Their latest song, “Sekai wa Doko Made Aozora na no Ka?” ranked #1 out of 1078 songs at the “AKB48 Request Hour”, achieving first place for the second year running. Their 3rd single, “Haru wa Doko Kara Kuru no Ka?” will be released this April
papirosier
This cool, hard, and beautiful idol unit formed in 2016. Their concept is “A rose (Papillion) dancing upon a rose (Rosier).” Their first single, “7 ~SeVeN~” reached #19 on the Oricon weekly ranking! They were voted #1 in the “TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2017 Nationwide Selection” Kyushu-Okinawa block, earning a spot at the 2017 festival
Task have Fun
“If life is a task, then let’s clear it while having fun!” is the concept of this up-and-coming idol unit who debuted at their one-man live in 2016. Their song “3WD” was released in May 2017 and became a huge hit for it’s powerful sound and stylish music video. This year not only will they be holding a talk show & solo performance in April, but they will be holding a nationwide tour to celebrate their 2nd anniversary, landing in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka
SPECIAL GUEST
JKT48
JKT48 is the overseas sister group to AKB48 who started activities in 2011.
These aspiring idols aim to create “a place to chase their dream” with the support of their fans.
They want to grow alongside their fans to become Indonesia’s ‘National Idols’.
It was with this sentiment that the JKT48 project was born.
The group currently consists of 60 members and have opened their own theatre in Jakarta’s fX Sudirman mall where they perform daily. They bring the legendary power of AKB48 to Jakarta!
